We provide LTO Tape Library systems from all the major tape vendors including DELL, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Quatum, Spectra, StorageTek & Tandberg. For the past 25 years we have been supplying LTO systems to a large and varied number of customers worldwide. We started out initially selling DLT based tape libraries and all other types of tape technologies finally settling on the defacto standard of LTO Linear Tape Open.
We are able to supply an LTO tape library systems from any of the following vendors and all we need to know is how many LTO tape drives, host interface connection, warranty/support options and we'll quote based on this.
The tape library systems scale from 24 to 200,000+ slots and many support multiple tape drive types and have options that allow business users to add slot capacity on demand by a simple license upgrade.
The definition of a tape library is that it has two or more LTO tape drives and multiple tape media slots with robotics controlled by backup software to move tape around within the tape library. Also known as tape silos, tape jukeboxes or tape robots, they were designed to automate the mundane task of manually inserting tapes into standalone tape drives. As disk capacities increased and network speeds improved organisations could then backup to a central LTO tape library using a single copy of backup software unload the backup agents on the servers to be backed up, rather than multiple tape drives each with a copy of the backup software.
If for any reason you cannot see or need to discuss your LTO tape library requirement, are interested in trading up an existing library or require support renewal, we are happy to discuss your requirements in more detail over the phone or have a meeting and provide a quotation.
In addition to the LTO tape library systems, we can also supply LTO tape media in small quantities or in bulk.
